  • Seeing Is Learning

    Funded Oct 7, 2019

I can not thank you enough for your generous donation to my classroom! My students will be so excited and will be able gain so much knowledge with the help of these supplies! It always amazes me when people take a personal interest in our students and when a large company is willing to invest in their future!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Engelbrecht

The supplies I have chosen for my classroom will help my students have real exposure to life science materials. They will make the concepts two and three dimensional not just a textbook explanation. With the life cycle of the green bean plant, life cycle of a frog, and cross-section flower model, students will be able to have a hands-on learning experience through touching and feeling. The marine life and insect life LifeBox pieces will offer my students an experience they won't forget! The supplies will help my students to fully understand all aspects of these creatures. The microscope slides will allow the students to view organisms in real life not just a picture in a book. Therefore my title for the project seeing in learning. So much of the learning that needs to happen in the science class should be tactile and visual. Please help me to give this experience to my students. The butterfly life cycle write and wipe pieces will offer engaging, reusable activities. I will be able to use these for years with each class learning by doing versus by reading.
