Our students are working on a 6 week pet study unit. During our study students are learning all about what animals make good pets, how to take care of pets, what pets eat, where pets live and how pets make us feel. As a celebration for completing their learning experience I would like to throw them a pet adoption day celebration where each student will get to adopt and bring home their very own pet to practice taking care of. Each student will select their own puppy to take home, they will receive a carrying case to take their dog home in and a certificate commemorating the event. My project also includes a few party supplies to help us celebrate the big day as well as a couple extra plush to keep in the classroom to help us learn how we are going to take care of our new friends.
