Throughout the SW Alternative HS, we have bulletin boards that line our hallways and provide a place for announcements and inspiration. We have a job board that is updated all year, a larger board that is changed monthly and smaller windows/boards in each of the teacher classrooms. We work very hard to uphold a "personal" environment in our school, so the boards are there to help students either take a deeper look into their own person or to provide them information and resources to help them and their families. While this is something the staff typically completes, if we have the Cricut the students can be involved through their Advisory classes--doing the computerized designs and the actual design of the boards. In addition to this mission, our students want to create more school spirit designing t-shirts. The Cricut Explore would design and cut the vinyl that can be ironed on t-shirts. This would be a fantastic way for our students to be involved in our school.
