  • Art Portfolios for Little Picassos

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

My students were very excited to use the 18x24 Drawing paper for their portfolio project. When I explained how they would be using the new material, they couldn't wait to get their hands on it and express themselves. The students were extremely engaged while creating their portfolios and were excited about this project because it was their own personal portfolio. The art portfolios turned out awesome and the students were very proud and excited about their finished artwork. Thank you again for your support of the Arts and for helping to provide new and exciting materials for my students to use! We truly appreciate your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wright

  • Dragon Eye Sculptures for 5th Grade Artists

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

When I first got the email that my art project was funded, I was overwhelmed at your generosity. I cannot thank you enough for providing the art supplies that allowed my students to work on a very fun and meaningful art project. The students were excited about this project because it was so cool to them and they were equally excited to open and use the new Crayola Model Magic you bought us.

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to our art class. The art teachers in my county are currently operating with budget cuts, so without your help we would not have had the resources for this art project. You have left an amazing impression on our students. Several students came back to school with faces lit up, eager to express their creative ideas on their dragon eyes.”

    With gratitude,

Help give my students quality paper to be used as art portfolios. The materials I've selected are quality Pacon paper, Crayola art color sticks and charcoal pencils which will give my students the ability to create genuine works of art on their art portfolios. My little Picassos will personalize their portfolio covers and use them to hold their individual artwork throughout the year. Each student will get their own portfolio to store artwork throughout the school year. Students decorate and personalize their portfolios which help them take pride and ownership of their artwork. Portfolios allow students to easily continue with projects, for example, they can save and store drawings to be painted the following week. Giving students the opportunity to have their own portfolios is very important to our art program. I want my students to understand the process of keeping and developing a portfolio from an early age. The folders also help me, as an art teacher, because I see 750 students per semester. Keeping artwork organized is huge and the portfolios allow the students, and I to easily show growth and development to parents, peers and on occasions school administration. Having these simple portfolio papers makes a really big impact on my job and my student's lives.
