  • Comfort in the Classroom!

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

My class was very excited when I showed them the alternative sitting you have graciously donated to our classroom.

Abrupt shifts to remote learning over the past two school years have affected students, negatively impacting their social, emotional, and mental well-being and academic achievement.

My students are free to use the sitting as an alternative to our tables in our classroom. This gives them the freedom to learn in a way that is comfortable to them. They truly enjoy them and use them everyday!

I truly can't think you enough for what you have given to my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Chesnut

    Thank you so very much!!”

  • Extra! Extra! Read all about it!! Kindergarten Chronicles!

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

Thank you more than I can put into words for donating to our classroom and my cause. This is going to be so impactful for our classroom and beneficial during our small group rotation times.

Not only will these learning games benefit my classroom, but I provide after school tutoring for a group of kindergarteners. These learning games will help me teach them in a way that will be engaging and fun!

I can't wait to use the materials you helped provide to us. It takes a village and thank you for being apart of ours! It's a great day to be a Longhorn!"”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Chesnut

It is so important to engage students in their learning, and I want them to have choices on how they do it. These new iPads will be used during hands-on interactive activities during center time. I will upload apps that will help them practice skills such as: letters, letter sounds, counting, and number recognition. The majority of my students are from low-income households; they may not have access to computers, laptops, and iPads at home. As our world is becoming more technology-based, we will build on the twenty-first century skills that students need to be college and career ready. It would be amazing to be able to have iPads in our classroom! I strive every day to provide my students with the best education I can give them!
