These materials well be a fantastic addition to our Block Area where preschoolers are able to be creative as they create new structures, towns, cities and even communities. While in the Block Area, preschoolers are also building social skills as they interact with peers. Language skills are also being developed as I am interacting within them and encouraging them to explain and talk about what the have created. These little learners are also building cognitive skills as they are encouraged to speak symbolically about the object they have created. We also do a "building" study and this 10 Blocks Center will enhance the study as well as allow students to apply what they have learned.

About my class
