    Funded Oct 21, 2021

This special gift of young adult literature was such a welcome surprise to all of our students. They were so interested in the titles and book jackets and the premise of each novel.

  • Have a Heart ... Teens Love Art

    Funded Jan 23, 2020

I cannot thank you enough for this very generous donation. My students were so exited and anxious to use all of the beautiful new art materials. We have been able to do exiting projects like making masks, decorating tiles, creating posters and painting on canvas.

To have the ability to utilize new and assorted art products and mediums, my students have been able to create pieces that they are so proud of.

These products have enhanced all content areas, as all art projects have been connected to standards in ELA, science and social studies.

Unfortunately, due to this Covid19 break, we are currently unable to use these materials. When we return to school, I know that the students will be so ready to again artistically express themselves. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ferri

Our academy is a highly specialized therapeutic day school setting that services students who have a social, emotional or behavioral impairment. Our students truly enjoy creative activities, and this seems to be a very therapeutic outlet for them. With quality art materials, students can construct meaningful pieces that reflect each individual's vision. Appropriate paints, markers, paintbrushes, papers, and craft materials will enable pupils to utilize various mediums for self-expression. Our students deal with very intense issues on a daily basis. Pablo Picasso sums up my beliefs with the following quote; "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
