  • NOW You Can SEE What I’m Doing!

    Funded Sep 19, 2021

It's so amazing to have a camera for art demonstrations. The students love being able to see what I'm trying to show them. They are amazed by the technology!

Now 45 students can easily watch demos and follow along for guided drawings or instructions about how to use materials and to create their art. I also use the camera to read stories to the students! Which they also love! No more complaining that they can't see the pictures. In addition, I am able to show students art for art critique and many works of art that are in the books in the art library.

Students are more engaged and able to participate, rather than feeling frustrated because they don't understand because they can't see the instruction.

We really appreciate your support and sincerely thank you for helping us do our best.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. WASHCO

  • Big Screen TV Helps Deliver ART Instruction

    Funded Aug 24, 2021

The students were super excited when they saw the new big screen television. They said, "WOW, it's so big." They were impressed! They also really appreciated that many people donated to provide them with an amazing learning tool. They all want to sit on the side of the room with the new television.

Now all students can see the art tutorials and presentations that allow them to learn about art and how to create art. Students being able to see demonstrations about how to use art materials and tools has made a big difference as it is a key element of art instruction.

Your wonderful gift has helped me give all my students the best art education I can provide. We truly appreciate your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. WASHCO

Delivering instruction to so many students is easier with the use of technology by using YouTube tutorials or my own videos imbedded in PowerPoint lessons. They need a large screen TV used as a monitor, so they can view these lessons. As instructional videos progress, they can be stopped and/or replayed, so I can help those who do not understand. Each student can see the intricacies, rather than my very small hands doing something that not everyone can see. A big screen will help all students see what they need to do. They will be able see the parts of their lessons that are videos about art, artists, or art history to help broaden their world views. Many times I read storybooks to younger students, with the challenge that everyone can not see the illustrations. With a large screen and my camera, everybody can see the words and the pictures. To help enrich the creative and developing minds of 2nd-5th grade students at our elementary school, please help me to provide a large screen TV to deliver successful and enriching art instruction!
