Taking Our Classroom Outside!
Funded Feb 25, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity! My students will benefit in so many ways from the opportunity to take our learning outside. They will be able to keep all of their supplies organized and complete their assignments using the clipboards and colored pencils. I will be able to set up a "classroom" with the traveling whiteboard in any environment!”

Managing Money in 5th Grade
Funded Sep 27, 2021My 5th grade students are thrilled with the new items in our classroom store. They eagerly anticipate getting to "shop" on Fridays. They do extra jobs and save their money so that they can purchase these much sought after items. They make financial decisions on whether they want to spend their money on a smaller item or save for a more expensive item.
When my students first saw all of the new items in our store, they were so excited! They especially loved all of the fidget spinners, Rubiks cubes, and Slinkies. They also like the sketch pads, the stickers and some of the smaller items.
With our classroom economy and store, my students are learning how to manage money, be responsible, and count and exchange money. These are valuable life skills that will last them a lifetime! Thank you so much for your support of my project!”

Funded Feb 23, 2021Thank you so much for providing my 4th and 5th grade students with the materials to help them learn about the country they live in! We had so much fun doing "puzzle races" and trying to fill out the blank maps with states and capitals. These materials were a wonderful gift to our class in such a crazy year. The great news is that they will be used for years to come! I can't wait to start learning about states and capitals with my incoming 5th grade class in the fall and in the proceeding years as well. Thank you so much for your support and generosity!!”

Funded Oct 7, 2019We love these math games! Every Friday, we use these during our math time. The students are so excited during the rounds of each game. Our classroom is full of enthusiastic players, who are really enjoying themselves while practicing and reasoning with math concepts. The math language that can be overheard is wonderful!
Our first day with the math games was great, as we all learned how to play them together. Leaders emerged, and favorite games were established. We will begin time and money after the New Year and I am looking forward to using those games to help reinforce these concepts in a fun way.
Thank you so much for supporting out classroom learning environment in this way. We are very fortunate to have these resources which truly make learning fun and also support the social skills involved in playing games fairly. We are so grateful for your donation!”

Funded Oct 2, 2019We have gone on several walking field trips since receiving the donations. The wagon has been invaluable in carrying all of the things that 7 and 8-year olds need to travel, including water bottles, snacks and sweaters, as well as extra art supplies, etc. They magnifying glasses are especially helpful when they find something they want to get a closer look at, especially if they are sketching it. Having a set of colored pencils for each student to sketch with has been wonderful as well.
The students were so excited to receive these items! They love to take turns pulling the wagon. They were most enthusiastic about the magnifying glasses and really enjoyed having some free exploration with them initially. Their observations were wonderful!
Our class will continue to nature journal and explore the world around us. As we move into the new year, we will learn more about the elements of art. I hope to incorporate more of that into their renderings, to combine art and science as much as possible.”
