  • Trendsetters Campaign!

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

We have committed to sharing positivity this school year. There are so many negative things going on in this world and unfortunately schools too. My class has committed to capturing the positive events and changing the narrative. I will continue to take photos of events, ceremonies, concerts, and students helping one another to spread the love. We appreciate all those who have donated to this cause. The photos will be on display for others to see and to give them hope and make their day brighter!”

  • A Story of Their Own

    Funded Jun 27, 2023

I am couldn't be more humbled by the amount of support for this project. Already this equipment has raised the students' level of engagement with technology and current events - noted by their inquires of "what is it" and "we get to use all of this."

This equipment will be used to teach my students the value of being responsible, contributing towards each other's success, becoming more intentional about the work they produce, and (maybe most importantly) the impact and influence of their work.

The most exciting part about this project is the confidence the equipment will bring to each who uses it to produce their art! We can't wait to get started and now we can, thanks to each of you!”

  • A Helping Hand!

    Funded May 10, 2023

Thank you for your generosity. The students came in the new school year with a beautiful classroom that they can call home away from home. Every tool has been placed and utilized to the max. We are organized, it is colorful and the students can feel the vibrancy. We are eager to get started and have what we need to succeed. Our students are ready to learn, enroll in programs, and enlist in organizations and we have the tools to maximize one space to fit many needs. We couldn't have done it without you!! Thank you!”

  • Ignite the Spark

    Funded Aug 12, 2022

I can't say thank you enough. I was able to cover my walls with bulletin board paper, better than paper, and wonderful anchor charts. The air is filled with a wonderful bourbon vanilla fragrance due to the air purifier and essential oil added to it. Our papers are organized and the room is separated into areas with our wonderful colorful paper.

My students come in daily excited about the space that has been provided to them to excel, think freely, and to express themselves. The students come in to work hard daily and do their best.”

  • Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good!

    Funded Jun 15, 2022

It is with much gratitude that I pen this letter. Starting a school year in a new classroom can be overwhelming especially with buying new materials. I was given a classroom that needed a little help and with your donations, we were able to bring it up to our liking. The classroom has a calm yet, productive energy about it now. The cart of supplies helped the room to feel welcoming, positive, organized, outgoing, and confident. When working with special education students you have to let them know you care and the way I was able to put love into my classroom shows from wall to wall. Thank you!”

  • Built for Success!

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

I greatly appreciate the time taken to put forth your resources to provide my class with an addition laptop to use. I often have students who will leave a laptop at home or the one assigned is not charged. By funding this project you have said, "YES TO EXCELLENCE." This project was done as an encouragement to let them know although you didn't come prepare, I stay prepared. In class due to the pandemic, our school has become 1:1 ratio on technology. Taking it one step further, we have a site where all assignments are dropped to complete, to keep the touching surfaces at a minimum, to keep us safe. In turn, all students were loaned for the year the resources that they need and with much appreciation, I say thank you for helping us step above and beyond the call of duty.”

  • Tech Savvy Teaching

    Funded May 1, 2020

This Tech Savvy Teaching is totally about capability. Often, we have stuck with using one device to do all the work, so I embarked upon requesting an iPad and case to add to my arsenal of resources. This fully funded project funded provided project is about sharing documents, screen shots, access to multiple screens and a wonderful case to house the iPad in.

When dealing with students from various backgrounds, they don't always have what they need to complete work easily. Having this iPad has giving better accessibility to being on more apps at one time.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in providing funds toward this project. This only proves a little bit can go a long way, and we appreciate you!!!”

  • Trusted Guardians

    Funded May 5, 2020

This Trusted Guardian is totally about protection. Often, we have technology and devices to use but don't always have the protective gear to take care of it, so this is what this project is about. This fully funded project funded provided my students and I with protective screen cover, keyboard case and iPad pen.

When dealing with students from various backgrounds, they don't always know how to take care of what has been provided. These items all me to provide more sensory enhanced buttons on a keyboard for special education students with other protective measures.

Also, with COVID being present I can keep the device clean without be nervous about damaging the product. I simply take a slightly wrung out Lysol wipe to keep all items clean. Thank you to everyone who played a part in providing funds toward this project. This only proves a little bit can go a long way, and we appreciate you!!!”

  • Copy That!

    Funded Dec 27, 2019

I am elated and truly overjoyed that you have helped me get our printer and ink cartridges. Printing issue and break room printing lines will now be a thing of the past. We are about to start 2nd semester and I am ready to give my students all I've got with differentiated lessons, supplemental guided notes and manipulatives for math. Having remote access to my own printer to do what I need to do for my students just opened a whole new avenue for us to TRULY SHINE. I am truly grateful. Thank you so much!!”

I am in a unique position to aid special education students in general education classrooms. As we continue in the age of electronics we are starting to do more with technology instead of pencil and paper. Our district has been utilizing software that contains our Algebra I book online versus a physical book. This means our class is taught technology-integrated lessons and assigned work on the same site. However, due to the type of students I assist, technology isn't always the best route when working with children who have visual impairments or other disabilities. Also, I find it more beneficial to work with smaller groups of scholars to provide a more individualized approach with scaffold instruction. That said, writing out problems and solving equations on paper is definitely a proven method. This is why I see it as fitting to invite the community to donate towards a printer and ink cartridges to help me give my students what they deserve. Not to mention, not all of our students have access to internet allowing them to complete assignments at home. But "the good work" continues on. You can help make it happen for our scholars by donating toward a printer and ink. Won't you be a donor?
