Funded Sep 25, 2019I want to sincerely thank you for the donation to purchase our Lego robotic kits. The students were completely surprised and thrilled that we actually received them. The students have started learning how to code this year and now they can actually put their code into practice and see the results.
The first project the students did with their kits was a lesson that went along with one of our science lessons. The students were learning about invisible forces and how many objects use a pull or push force to move. After our science lesson they were able to program and see their robots use those forces to move across the floor. Now they all understand the difference between the forces and how many times they actually can work together.
For our next project I really want to focus on the different ways to code their bots. In math, they are learning there are almost always more than one way to solve a problem. I want the students to take their problem solving skills we work on everyday and apply them to coding. We are so thankful for the opportunity to be able to learn with these tools. Thank you so much.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Stencil
