The library program is developing a Maker Lab for students to perform research utilizing items other than computers, textbooks, pens, and paper. In the Maker Lab, students will have hands-on opportunities to explore STEM models for research. Students will have the opportunity to design, build and create with littleBits and Snap Circuits. These research opportunities will allow students to create items with their own research and perform experiments utilizing the scientific method. In the Maker Lab, students will be able to work collaboratively on projects, share resources and knowledge, develop design techniques and strategies, as well as build their creations. The Maker Lab offers students experiences that develop their courage in experimenting because it fortifies their ability to fail repeatedly and bravely until they accomplish their task.
