The Phonological Awareness Learning Puzzles and Touch & Read CVC Words Sentence Match will be used to teach students with Apraxia and other speech disorders to produce the correct sound in all parts of the word. This will help them communicate better and decrease their frustrations, leaving them more time to focus on the academic pressures of school. Students with speech and language deficits often need increased sensory input and tactile reinforcement to teach them speech objectives that may come easy or naturally for students without special needs. The weighted fleece vest and sensory integration material will be used to help students calm themselves and focus on the task at hand, decreasing negative behaviors and increasing knowledge acquired in school.
