We are requesting SunWorks Construction Paper, colored pencils, markers, sharpener and Bluetooth voice amplifier for engaging in creative projects when learning a foreign language! Visual arts constitute a powerful and multimodal medium that when incorporated in my Spanish classroom, increases students' level of literacy and communication proficiency Spanish. Having the tools and resources to produce interactive projects will allow my students to express their creativity while processing and practicing the skills taught in class. There is no better way to learn than to put the newly acquired skills work! The goal is for my students to use correct grammar and linguistic skills while creating their projects and expressing themselves verbally as they present their product. Project-based learning in my classroom will allow students to use the concepts, vocabulary, and skills I teach them and incorporate them into their projects so that the end result shows their growth and understanding of the unit. Allowing my students to express themselves artistically within the classroom helps them develop their interpersonal skills while sharing their individuality. Additionally, they will develop their cultural awareness and empathy due to the diversity of the makeup of the classroom.
