These materials will help give my students an edge on science. They will help capture their attention and possibly spark the mind of the next recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in science, by encouraging them to explore and think outside of the box. The majority of my students come from homes that aren't able to expose them to these materials. Funding this project gives these students the opportunity to turn a sensory lesson about light into a hands on experience that they won't forget. It will allow them to think, feel and create with materials that filter and bend light in ways that they are able to understand.

About my class
