My students have specific reading, comprehension, and language goals. I feel it is important to use real world tools to help them achieve progress. A key step toward success in life is to help students understand the importance of current events and the global community in which they belong. The Scholastic news magazines will help my students develop knowledge of and appreciation for current events and the global community in which they belong, all while improving their reading and comprehension skills. These magazines provide age and level appropriate articles that are current and relevant. The alternative seating and reading strips will help in a more practical way. The seating helps students channel their energy so they can better focus on the task at hand. The reading strips are assistive tools designed to help readers better see, focus and remember what they have read. It helps reduce word and line skipping, pattern glare, and helps improve fluency and comprehension. Help us get caught up and "Current!"
