Funded Oct 14, 2019These resources have enabled us to differentiate learning for our students. In addressing equity needs in our district, one of the most important aspects of equity is meeting the needs of the student. In differentiating centers, and providing meaningful work for students, we are meeting the student where they are while still providing a standards driven level of rigor.
Students were beyond excited to see what materials they received. Centers time is already a fun time for students because they get to work collaboratively, and now with the updated materials, they will be able to even more effectively work on the skills they need to get ready for 1st grade.
In our classroom, we are using these centers to more effectively prepare students for rigorous small group teacher led work. We use centers reactively so that when students are struggling with a skill or need more automaticity we can set up centers for them that will meet their needs”
With gratitude,
