The magnetic tiles are a fun and exciting way for Pre-K children to learn essential math concepts at an early age. The tiles allow children to learn basic geometry as they learn their shapes. It allows children to problem solve as they fit the shapes together to create buildings, cars, towers, etc... It helps the children develop their fine motor skills, which is an important first step in learning how to write. In addition, the tiles are in different colors. This allows children to not only reinforce their knowledge of colors but because the tiles are see-through, it allows children to stack the tiles to create different colors. I will never forget when one of my students discovered they could make green by mixing blue and yellow paint! This excitement can also be seen as they use magnetic tiles! I have some of the smaller tiles in my classroom now, and the children love using them. But, there never seems to be enough when a child creates a masterpiece. So, I am requesting more smaller tiles, as well as a larger set that can be used in the block area. This will allow students to create buildings they could actually fit inside!
