The CAHPERD conference provides quality training and materials for P.E., health, and dance teachers, and all educators in the state. The direction of P.E. includes teachers providing opportunities for students to grow in their confidence and emotional awareness. In addition to developing successful skills, like throwing, catching, striking, and kicking, attending conferences like CAHPERD will allow me to design a comprehensive curriculum to meet my students' needs. My students have often shown a need for social-emotional skills as well as confidence and competence in how to move. Professional training enables me to learn the most updated skills and best teaching practices to develop the whole student.
