The materials that I have requested will help aspiring educators teach younger students how to code. The robots will be part of a series of STEM Olympic activities that the high school students use to excite elementary age children about science, technology, engineering, and math focused education and careers. The donations to this project will help the community: elementary and high school students. Both sets of students will benefit immensely. The high school students will learn how to write and teach STEM lesson plans while the elementary students will benefit from the STEM instruction that the future teachers will provide. The social emotional learning will also be an emphasis as older students mentor the younger ones and create relationships that will hopefully last a lifetime.
