Classroom Essentials
Funded Nov 7, 2022Your support has brought about a transformative change in our classroom, and we are excited to share how your contributions have enriched the learning experience for our students. The Classroom Keepers Mailbox has revolutionized how we handle assignments and feedback. Students now have individual mail slots, making it easier for them to receive and return assignments while fostering a sense of responsibility. In this challenging era, your supply of disinfecting wipes and paper towels has been instrumental in maintaining a safe and clean environment. These materials have not only helped protect our students' health but have also offered them the assurance of a secure learning space.

Funded Mar 30, 2023In our classrooms, reading has transformed into a dynamic and engaging experience. We've seen students eagerly participating in discussions, sharing their insights, and asking thought-provoking questions. Reading isn't merely an assignment; it's a journey that sparks curiosity and fuels intellectual growth. This transformation is evident in the enthusiasm our students exhibit when diving into these new books. We've seen a significant shift in their attitudes towards reading, with many of them becoming ardent bookworms.
Your support has unlocked doors to a world of knowledge and imagination for my students, and their achievements stand as a testament to your generosity. With your continued assistance, we aim to expand our literary resources and reach even more students who can benefit from the transformative power of reading.”

Hands On Tasks
Funded Mar 25, 2022Thank you for the opportunity for purchasing a Teacher Pay Teachers gift card fo my class. With this gift card, I purchased Hands on Fraction unit, American Revolution Unit and many other resources for my class to make learning fun and engaging.
Students were particularly excited for the Fractions resources. Some students used the resources digitally, while others used hard copies of the task to enhance their fraction knowledge. In these purchased task, students engaged with multiplying fractions with a whole number, adding and subtracting fractions, comparing fractions and finding equivalent fractions through small group learning stations.
The American Revolution resources allowed students to capture notes about the topic they were exploring so that they can further teach others about what they learned.
We are truly grateful for these resources. Thank you again.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Optimum.Amazing Readers
Funded Nov 16, 2022This project was mainly created to get more books for my below benchmark students. Students that are reading below benchmark need more books in their book baggie since their books are shorter. Having access to these books, allowed my students to practice the skills being taught during reading workshop. My students loved the nonfiction books' vibrant pictures and text features. Students were able to improve on their skill of identifying text structure and how information is organized in a nonfiction text. Then, students would stop and jot notes using text structure templates.
One of the best part of this project were the Dog Man graphic novel series. Students enjoy reading these book during independent reading time and drawing the characters using the tips from the book.
My 4th grade students and I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity.”

Funded Dec 27, 2019The books from this project has been used to teach two fiction 4th grade reading units. During these units, students learn to stop and jot and think about story elements and do a lot of work with theme and life lessons. Students use the books that they read during reading to write inspiring fictional stories during writing time.
Having multiple copies of the books really has made read aloud time a time to decompress for the students and be apart of the reading experience.
I love when the student pick up the book from the classroom library to read it again even after we read it as a class.”

Funded Dec 16, 2020I use this math tool kit during small group math instructions and during math center time to help my students below benchmark to help improve their number sense and help them with mental math in addition and subtraction.
Students were very appreciative to heave this tool in the classroom to help increase their number sense. I have seen tremendous improvement in my student's ability to comprehend and make sense of the numbers and their relationship.
Students are able to explain why 5 + 9 = 14. They can regroup the numbers to make groups of ten and add. The strategies in this tool kit have helped improve my student's number sense.”

Funded Nov 23, 2020Thank you so much. My students and I were fully remote in 2021. I was able to use the resources from home. I mostly taught math, so the white board that I received through this project was invaluable. I was able to model to my students with step by step instructions. Remote learning was definitely a lot more different that in-person learning, but my students appreciated that we used these resources to help them in enhance their learning experiences digitally. Now, that I am back in-person, I use many of the materials with my new students, especially during small group instructions.”

Funded Jul 15, 2020First and foremost, thank you so much for funding my project. Through this opportunity, I was able to bring a sense of normalcy to my students especially when I conduct virtual small groups. When teachers were told that schools were shutting down, we didn't really have enough time to figure out what learning materials we should be bringing home. I bought home a small white board and a few expo markers. Soon I had run out of expo markers and had to a make trip to get more materials at my own expense. We weren't allowed to go back in the building until the end of the school year.
When I was doing small group math with my students, I would write too small and it was hard for my students to see. Now, with the larger white board I received I am able to set a home learning station for my fully remote students. During our zoom math check-in time, I am able to utilize the board to model and discuss math concepts presented to my students in their virtual lessons. Though students weren't able to physically use the materials provided through this funded project, my students surely appreciate it when I am able to model a concept to them during synchronous teaching.”
