  • Breathe Better With Cleaner Air

    Funded Jan 3, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations! When I shared with my students that our project was funded they were ecstatic. Your support means so much to us. We can’t wait to see how the air purifier will improve the quality of the air in our classroom. By improving our indoor air we plan to reduce student absenteeism due to illness such as respiratory infections and asthma, which in result can directly improve our student's overall performance.

Studies show that good indoor air quality in the classroom increases student's ability to complete tasks that require everything from concentration and calculation to memory. With better air we will have a safer environment with reduced air contamination, which will allow us to perform at our best. Thank you so much for making this possible!”

    With gratitude,

  • Building Future Mathematicians

    Funded Sep 5, 2019

There are no words to express my gratitude for your generosity. Your gifts have enhanced my students' learning and created memorable experiences in the classroom. My students have been using the math centers to work independently during small group instruction. They enjoy the centers so much that they request to come up during recess to continue working. Students love that these centers are hands on and keep them engaged.

When the students first saw their donations they were ecstatic and couldn't wait to use them. They still have not had the opportunity to use the addition and subtraction regrouping centers. However we will soon start that unit. Your donations have provided an opportunity for students to practice and apply skills and strategies taught within the classroom. Students feel accountable for the work in which they are engaged. It also allows me to assess their math skills, strategies and understandings. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for making this happen for our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mendez

My students love hands on activities and math centers are just that. It empowers them by allowing them to have an active role in their learning. We would love to get math centers that are differentiated to meet students needs and interest. They also provide much needed review, practice and enrichment during each math unit. These center activities will provide students with the additional enrichment in addition and subtraction number sense, place value, regrouping, telling time, counting money and measurerement. These math centers will target students' real learning needs. My 2nd graders will build independence and practice the skills needed to further their mathematical knowledge.
