I want to create an environment that is both inviting but soothing that will allow my students to not feel confined to their desks. During independent learning, my students are currently limited to situating desks to fit their needs which often becomes a distraction to others in the classroom as it becomes loud when moving desks and chairs. In wanting my students to think outside of the box I feel they need a climate in which it is set up to allow their creative juices to flow in a manner that is both conducive to learning but not confined to one space. Since a large amount of a child's time is spent in the classroom creating a learning environment that promotes both creativity and positive learning outcomes is my goal.
