  • Flexibility for Our Wiggle Worms

    Thank you so much for your generous donations. We were able to utilize our yoga donuts as flexible seating for center time and during our daily journaling!

    Our students were so excited for their new seats. They were all fascinated as we blew up the donuts when we received them. They definitely get a kick out of the fact that they can sit on a bouncy "donut"!

    It is very helpful for our students to have this seating option. Many of my students are just starting their journey in school and are still learning to sit for various amounts of time. They can wiggle and squirm while on the yoga donuts and still stay focused on the task on hand. These donuts should help my incoming students who are 3 or 4 years old for years to come.”

Flexible seating for my wiggling students will allow them to work together during group table work and at centers. I believe that giving my students the option to find what works best for them builds a better sense of community within our classroom. My class will greatly appreciate the option of flexible seating so that we may be inclusive of their varying sizes. It will also provide the unique opportunity of working on their posture and core strength. They'll have the ability to stay in their seats a bit longer as we also eat breakfast and lunch in the classroom. I would love for them to enjoy coming to school to learn and see how flexibility in our classroom is key!

About my class
