  • Interactive, Fun, Comfy Learning Environment

    Thank you for all the wonderful additions to my classroom. My students are loving being able to grab a bean bag and relax while reading.

    Many of my students do not have these items available or a quiet place to read while at home, so by your generous donation, my students can now read in a quiet comfortable area.

    My students reaction to our new classroom additions was pure excitement. The smiles on their faces lit up the room. Like I said, most of them do not have access to fun, flexible seating at home therefore this was like Christmas morning to them.”

  • Hands-on Learning! Building the Foundation and Closing Gaps!

    These materials have made a significant impact on my 3rd grade students learning in small groups. We have used the center materials to prepare for state testing and reinforce what we are learning in class.

    I have used the learning games from this project at my back table for direct instruction for students who need reteaching of skills. This made learning more hands-on and fun for students who were struggling.

    My students also love to use these materials during center time to guide their learning independently. The smiles, laughter, and success coming from each group makes everyday learning fun and valuable.”

My students spend a portion of each morning completing Daily 5 Reading/Literacy Rotations. This project will provide interactive materials, organizational materials, and supplies to provide them with more variety of materials. When students are given different things to manipulate and touch and colored materials rather than black and white, they show more interest in what they are learning. Students also take pride in organizing their personal materials, when they are provided with proper bins they will be able to successfully manage their work. This project will provide each of my students with an organizational bin to keep their Read to Self books, Writing Journals, and Word Work Materials. It will also provide us with materials to print Word Work activities and Reading Logs off in color. It will provide technology integration for Word Work activities, as well as other manipulatives to utilize as well.
