These books will empower my students to become better readers as they relate these stories to themselves and the world around them. Studies have shown that students will increase their vocabulary and become better writers when they are rooted in good books. As they read more, students will be able to increase their reading levels, many of which are lower due to less reading during COVID-19. These books will bring excitement and knowledge to my students by adding to our limited class library. The books will be used for whole class reading, small groups, introduction to new literary concepts, and individual reading.
