In order to improve students' vocabulary, fluency, and overall reading comprehension, they need to read both in and outside of school. By building a classroom library with new enticing texts that reach different reading levels and a variety of interests, I can encourage students to read more often! I need books that reach all students- some students are very interested in A-Z Mysteries, while others love to read the newest graphic novels! I never want to have a classroom library that discourages students from reading. I want to make sure that there are new books for ALL students, whether they are below grade level, on grade level, or above. Therefore, I believe that this project will allow all of my students' to discover books that they will love! By providing additional books to my classroom library, I can encourage students to read more often. With new and enticing books for my classroom library, my students could become hooked on reading.
