  • Distant Learning Tools Needed for My Students With Special Needs

    With your donations I was able to provide my students with learning materials such as reusable write & wipe pockets and dry-erase markers. The reusable write & wipe pockets have helped save a ton of paper. we were able to provide worksheets that were easily placed into the see-inside pocket and students were able to write directly on the surface with a dry-erase marker. With your donations my students were able to practice writing their names and practice their fine motor skills and development in many areas. Your donations were greatly appreciated.”

    I would like to thank you on behalf of my students. We truly appreciate your efforts and your donations. We have put the materials you donated to good use. With the camera you donated, I was able to make visual schedules for my students that needed extra help and have since sent home schedules to help during the pandemic. Although we were not in school for the past three months, I want you to know that your donations have made an impact on my students. With your donations I was able to send home markers for a few students that were in need. They'll be able to practice their fine motor skills and continue to learn at home. By donating to our project, you will not only help students with transitions, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. To assist those who struggle with understanding or expressing language, visual supports can be used. Visual supports can help students learn new skills, know what to do, and to help them feel included. Visual supports using pictures in the classroom can promote independence in children. They know where to find things and where to put items away. They can also be used to support behavior needs. When students know what is expected or know what to do, behavior issues may reduce. We are also in need of other materials, like Clorox wipes, dry erase markers, and storage boxes, to help us stay organized and keep our classroom clean. Thank you!
