All students learn best, by doing. My k-1 classes are identifying problems main characters face in children's picture books. Students then work together to design solutions to these challenges and then use a wide array of common everyday materials to build their designs. These materials are collected throughout the year and can usually only be used once. The fairy tales problem solving STEM kits will supply students with engaging building materials that can be reused over and over, year after year. The kits also includes extra activities to enhance learning. Fairy tale characters are even included in the kits and are used as part of the STEM challenges. These kits will help make the fairy tales come to life.
