Having interesting and engaging materials and activities for students in the class will increase my chances of keeping my children in my classroom and not in the Time-Out or Crisis room. They will be more cooperative and motivated to control their behaviors so they get to participate in fun activities during brain breaks, choice time or during Fun Fridays. Also, these materials will foster sharing, taking turns and social skills and will eventually help them develop emotionally. Also, my students do not get enough time to play or do some arts at home so having these materials in class will definitely help them. My students can use these art materials and activity sets during their brain breaks in between classes to give them more structured activities that will help them relax and have fun before the next academic lessons they need to do. They will also be able to practice the social skills lessons like sharing, taking turns and problem-solving strategies that they are learning.
