Based on communication, behavior, physical, and cognitive limitations, it can be difficult for me to find ways to motivate and engage my students. However, I have found some strategies that seem to be most effective in helping students to engage more often and more willingly. Hence, these items can and will be beneficial for my students; especially when focusing on their IEP goals. It’s my position to provide them with opportunities to learn base on various levels and differentiated instructions. They need specific instruction and more scaffolded support, such as having tasks broken down for them into more manageable lumps, visual aids, and frequent check-ins to ensure they are on the right track. In the classroom, I‘ve created an environment for learning, teach them needed skills for focus, problem-solving, and emotional or behavioral self-regulation. Furthermore, my students need 1-1 instructions and focus on their IEP goals. These puzzles and manipulates will provide various levels of learning for all students.
