  • Headphones Help Us Read!

    Funded Oct 27, 2022

I just want to take time to thank everyone for your generous donations to my classroom and my students. Thanks to your kindness and willingness to give to "Headphones Help Us Read," each of my students will get their own headphones and other awesome supplies. Students will be able to access individualized learning with the use of smaller groups to focus on differentitaion. We will also be able to research and complete web-based projects, while learning from on-level instructional videos. This will help students gain the ability to concentrate on their own personal learning, which is very difficult with larger class sizes.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for your donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glover

  • Read All About It!

    Funded Dec 30, 2019

I just want to thank everyone who donated to our classroom library for your generosity and kindness. The students love going to the book shelf and seeing the large variety of books on each topic. There are many books on topics they enjoy now so they can always find soemthing instead of waiting for a classmate to finish a book. They also love the comfortable seating. Words can't express our gratitude. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for making our classroom a wonderful place for young readers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Glover

My students like to read books on topics they are interested in, but our classroom library does not have enough of these books. They read a book and want another on the same topic, but can't get anymore because of the limited variety of the books in our classroom. My students have been learning about athletes as leaders of social change, the rain forest, and human rights. When they begin learning about a topic, they want to know more and more about it. I don't want to stifle that love of learning because of a lack of materials. The students are more engaged when the books on on subjects in their interest. Please help us create a print-rich, inviting classroom library.
