All of my students have improved their reading skills in a short time. They will use these books to continue their journey towards confident readership. This allows them to engage in all of their classes with a greater sense of hope and increases their likelihood of success. Students in my classroom read with a partner each day. We have reached the point in which I hand them a book and they say, "We read that one!" We need new material that is representative of these readers, keeps them engaged and sparks a love of reading within each of them.
