Reading is important and fun. It's great to give kids their own books and our school book club does just that. Over 20 students sign up during each of three lunches to participate. Each student receives a book to keep with the condition that they will come back during lunch to eat and talk about the book. This project helps those kids who love to read and gives them a place to belong. It appeals to readers and focuses on their talents. It also shows students that there are others like them who like to read and makes reading the "cool" thing to do.

About my class
