  • Serving Up Opportunities: A Pickleball Project for Students

    Funded Nov 21, 2024

I hope this letter finds you well. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation of pickleball paddles, balls, and nets to our classroom. Your support has truly transformed our physical education program and has made a significant impact on my students.

Since we received the equipment, my students have been eagerly engaging in learning the fundamentals of pickleball. Just last week, during our first practice session, I witnessed the excitement on their faces as they unwrapped the paddles and saw the nets set up for the first time. They quickly gathered around, ready to learn and support one another. It was heartwarming to see them practicing hand-eye coordination through drills and playing friendly matches, all while fostering teamwork and communication. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and encouragement, emphasizing the inclusivity that pickleball promotes.

Looking ahead, we plan to integrate pickleball into our regular physical education curriculum, providing students with opportunities to refine their skills and participate in friendly tournaments. This will not only enhance their physical fitness but also instill a sense of belonging and community among them. I believe that the skills they develop through this sport will last a lifetime, encouraging them to remain active and engaged in their future communities. Your generous contribution has made this possible, and for that, I am incredibly thankful.

Thank you once again for your support and for believing in our students. Your generosity is making a lasting difference in their lives.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Limb

This equipment will be utilized by any and all students that walk through my door. Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to being able to provide my students with more opportunities and equipment.”

  • Equity in Physical Education

    Funded Sep 3, 2019

Thank you SO much for all your help in funding my project! This is a great first step in equipping our weight room and helping me positively impact all the students who walk through my doors! I am so excited to get our new equipment and get started! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Limb

This equipment will be very beneficial to my students by allowing them to have more options in Physical Education. The two women's barbells are lighter and smaller (in diameter) than all the bars we currently have therefore, giving more students the opportunity to lift weights. The resistance bands are great accessory tools that have infinite possibilities in regards to what they can be used for; from weightlifting to sport-specific drills, to accessory/rehabilitation movements. Getting this equipment will mean that more of my students will have the opportunity to become stronger, well-rounded students and athletes, as well as help minimize injuries. We need the proper equipment which will allow students the opportunity to have a positive experience in Physical Education
