Some of the most exciting and successful projects I have given in my computer science classes, and even in my math classes, have used audio or video to engage students in new and creative ways. This includes recording podcasts, which gets students excited about researching and the technical processes of producing a crisp final product. I have also done a variety of music and video projects - sometimes just to help students think about a topic in new ways, or to teach them essential skills for working with audio and video software so that they can expand on their own curiosities and ideas in ways that produce personal and technical creations that reflect their own interests.
