Funded Sep 28, 2022This project was to assist students with disabilities ages 2-4 years old. These students have significant deficits in their communication and social skills. They struggle with attention and other areas that are crucial to learning.
The PECS system allows us to help our students have a voice. By using colorful pictures, our students are able to participate and communicate appropriately in school. This helps to decrease frustration that often leads to behaviors that can become unsafe or dangerous. Our students are so happy to be able to participate and see photos of themselves or familiar items. This also helps us measure their ability and what they understand. It helps them learn! We are so grateful for your help.”
