Research shows that a comfortable environment is more conducive to learning and critical thinking. Cooperative learning is enhanced when using seating that lends itself to better collaboration among the the students. When students are sitting in areas where they can easily converse and share their ideas critical thinking comes to life. The white board tables let them draw pictures or lay out the data with which they are working. The ease of leaning over to ask a question or share ideas helps in the overall learning process. Being able to switch seating and groups allows the students to learn from different students who have different ways of approaching problems.
