Fresh Start to a New School Year!
Funded Sep 13, 2024Thank you so much for your support! I am blown away for your generosity and can't wait to share the news with my students that we will receive new books in Spanish. Watching students learn to read in Spanish and love reading is one of the greatest joys of my job. Thank you again for helping to give my students the tools they need to be as successful as possible.”

More Little Bits!
Funded Apr 17, 2016Thank you so much for your generosity! When we opened the box of "Little Bits" the students were so excited to make their projects come to life! They learned simple coding and how to create different types of circuits. After experimenting a few days with the kits, they created their own projects! Some student used the kits to make doorbells, feather ticklers and animals with wagging tails. They incorporated the Little Bits in other projects and made entire model sized houses with lights, and buzzers. Beyond the classroom, some students became so interested in coding that they signed up for coding workshops during the summer. Thank you again!”

Lego Robotics!
Funded Mar 27, 2016Dear Donors
Thank you so much for your generous donation! The Lego Robotics kits arrived within a few days and the students asked to use them every single day! A group of students built a "praying mantis" and showed our principal how he and his group wrote simple code to make it move. One member then went on to explain each simple machine the group used.
It was so inspiring to see students who never played with Legos before, try new projects. Some students went home and talked to their parents about the kits and they now consider themselves engineers! Some students are going to attend summer STEM classes to continue learning about coding and how to use other robotic software. The kits allowed students to experiment with new materials.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
