I want to extent my heartfelt thanks to each of you who generously donated to help provide wobbly stools for my classroom. These stools not only give them the freedom to move and stay focused but also help foster creativity and comfort as they work. I am truly grateful for your kindness and commitment to enhancing their educational experience. Your contribution is deeply appreciated and will be put to great use!”

  • Colorful and Inviting Games

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

I would like to thank you for your generous donations and for allowing this dream to become a reality. This printer has made a huge positive impact in my classroom.

With the color printer, I was able to print and create learning centers, picture cards, sound cards and bulletin board displays in color. This made the centers and the classroom more inviting to the students. It encouraged them to want to learn and engage in the lesson. The students enjoy working with the colorful task cards, which have helped improve their reading skills. The displays on the bulletin boards have encouraged the students to refer back to sound cards. Having the printer readily available allows them to have their activities ready within a minute so they can begin activities sooner.

Thank you for making this project come to life.”

    With gratitude,

  • Learn by Listening

    Funded Nov 2, 2019

Listening to stories has increased my students vocabulary, comprehension, and the purpose of reading. The listening center has helped my students understand how to read a book with intonation, fluency, and expression.

Reading is happening throughout the day in the classroom. Students have assigned reading groups and can use the listening center during our reading group rotations. They enjoy this time because they are able to listen to stories on their own.

All the students in my class are enjoying the listening center. These students are from low socioeconomic households. They have limited book resources at home. Having this resource in our class has helped students love books. Listening to stories has especially helped my students that are struggling with reading.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Meza

My project will provide my students with the opportunity to listen to different stories. During reading time my class is divided into groups so that I can differentiate instruction while they work independently. The listening center materials I'm requesting will be placed on a table that will be accessible to students. A listening center will help my students understand how to read a book with intonation, fluency, and expression. Listening to a story will also help my students that are struggling with reading. Hearing stories read to them will motivate them to learn to read and foster a love for books.
