When children can touch and explore materials instead of just hearing about them, they are gaining a deeper understanding of the State standards we are teaching. Some children have limited experiences and these items WILL help them learn by extending their exposure to learning materials. Modern technology provides important tools that we can use to teach some lessons. But children need the opportunity to touch, create, build and problem solve using their individual creativity. I want them to have the opportunity to try new things in a safe non judgemental environment, where they get to be the leaders and learn to play cooperatively with others.

About my class
