  • Help Us With Some Basic Supplies!

    Funded Feb 25, 2025

Thank you for donating to our project! While our project had no fancy new technology, it was exactly what we needed to continue our education! Basic supplies are at such a premium. We start the year with newest tools and as the year progresses those items are used up with few ways to replenish.

Your generous donation provided basic personal hygiene necessities such as tissues - those paper towels were getting rough! We also should have enough pencils to finish our year! The headphones will help us with our class activities as well as end-of-the-year testing.

    Thanks so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Malone Knotts

  • Start the Year Off Right!

    Funded Dec 6, 2024

Thank you for funding our general school supplies project. We were able to get a laminator which has created some great math folder games and small group activities. This allowed these materials to be reusable saving both time and the environment! We loved the playground equipment. It has been put to good use during recess. Football games, soccer games, and kickball games are now an option because of your generous donations. Our teachers love the new ball pump too, it's so much quicker than the manual ones we were using!”

  • Feeling Fishy!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations that helped us get our very own aquarium for our classroom! We have found this to be quite the adventure and we don't even have our fish yet!

We have learned that following directions is important! We received a box with pieces for our stand. It was super important to have this put together correctly so our fish tank didn't fall off the stand! We learned that concise directions are important. Some of the directions were hard to follow. We took this lesson and turned it into a direction writing activity! We think we are now better writers because of it.

We have also discovered it isn't as simple as fill a tank, buy fish. We are currently trying to get our water parameters correct so that our fish can thrive! We have learned so much about water conditions.

Thank you for this great opportunity!”

  • Macbook Recording

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation leading to the purchase of our new Macbook! We are just starting the school year and the new students are so excited to get started! We have discussed creating math learning videos that will help our class as well as others! Students are taking an interest in video editing and using all of the features the Mac Book has to offer! We have found it to be more user-friendly and have more options than student-assigned Chromebooks. Our new classroom Macbook is going to allow us to create some professional projects while learning demanding skills in an increasingly 'tech' world!”

  • Scan and Go!

    Funded Apr 24, 2020

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the new scanner for my classroom. This year we are presented with the very difficult task of teaching students on a hybrid schedule as well as students entirely virtual. As you can imagine, this is a great challenge especially if resources do not have an electronic component. This scanner has allowed me to digitize resources for my students. In addition, I have been able to scan student work and provide feedback quicker, especially in cases of unexpected school closures. My students and I cannot thank you enough for this new learning tool!”

  • Less Paper, Less Waste!

    Funded May 28, 2020

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the new supplies for my classroom. This year we are presented with the very difficult task of teaching students on a hybrid schedule as well as students entirely virtual. In addition, we are unable to share resources so the new whiteboards and LCD boards have been a lifesaver as this is the only way I have enough materials for my students to use while in the classroom. Students are finding both tools to be fun and engaging! It is really helping to make math repetition less tedious and more exciting! My students and I cannot thank you enough for these new learning tools!”

  • Measure, Calculate, Print!

    Funded Nov 22, 2019

I cannot thank you enough for giving my students a 3-D printer as a new learning tool! It has been quite the adventure! It is proving to be a bit challenging to learn the software and how to use the printer itself. This had delayed us in starting into many of the projects we hoped to have started. However, it has already proven to be a huge motivating tool for my students!

I find my student coming back to school each day telling me a new bit of information they have researched and learned about using our new 3-D printer. The students are taking an active role in learning how to use the machine. They can't wait to print new models in the classroom and have really become little investigators learning how to use the software and additional tools we need to create our models.

The thing that is most motivating to my students is that they are able to see a finished product. Even more so than planning, they enjoy seeing their creations come to life. We are able to take measurements and use scaling to create and replicate student designs. Once students have completed all the 'math' they then are able to put their computer skills to the test and create a finished project.

The 3-D printer has been especially great for one student in particular. He has become a real helper with the printer. He can assist other students in a productive manner because he has spent so much of his time at home learning to use the new machine. It has been really great to see my students grow with this new classroom tool!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Malone Knotts

This 3-D printer will allow my students to bring previously hard to imagine objects and concepts to life! Students are required to consider concepts such as scale models and envisioning the size relationship between objects. With this project, we will be able to use the skills to measure and scale objects, such as the solar system, and then bring those concepts to life! This will allow a greater collaboration between the science and mathematics classrooms. The project has been carefully put together to include enough materials to keep the students printing all year long! The best way to increase student engagement is to actively involve them in learning!
