The sports equipment I am requesting will be used as prizes for students participating in the school's first yearlong Mileage Club and end of the year Jog-A-Thon. The students at my school come from low income families and we do not have start-up funds for our events. All students will be rewarded with a sports-themed pencil for participation, and top runners will receive medals and one sports equipment item to take home with them as a reward for their hard work and commitment to exercise. Students love Physical Education and all the equipment we use. Many of them do not have simple sports equipment such as soccer balls, so by participating in these events, students have a chance to earn personal sports equipment, a great motivator!
