Pack Up Your Troubles - A Clutter-free Classroom
Funded Sep 5, 2022Thank you so much for your support in supplying our classroom with much-needed organization materials. Collaborating with students to ensure things are stored in an organized manner both ensures that we always have a welcoming classroom environment and allows students to practice very important organization skills. I have seen students use the skills we practiced when setting up and filing away materials in our classroom and across the learning environment when gathering and organizing their personal belongings. The entire class is looking forward to a clutter-free classroom this school year and in the many years of learning to come.”

Tasked With Independence
Funded Oct 16, 2021The materials you have helped us acquire on Teachers Pay Teachers have greatly impacted learning in our classroom. I found cutting and preparing the purchased learning stations in preparation for the classroom to be exciting. However, the excitement of the students when they were introduced to their new learning stations overshadowed my own.
Implementing stations has brought a new energy into our phonics lessons. Students are enthusiastic about class. They are always looking forward to Monday and the new station they will be working on for the week. The worksheets have also been a great help to our readers who can now easily measure their progression by word count and reading level. Being able to prepare these materials for my students has been an honor made possible by the care you have for the next generation and their learning.”

Bringing Art and Design to Life in the Classroom
Funded Jun 7, 2021We cannot begin to say how thankful we are for your generosity! The materials for our die-cutting machine have not only made decorating the classroom possible, but they have also given our learners materials for use in planning and decorating a very special school-wide event!
The students loved using the new materials to choose designs and create flowers for our school's garden party. The excitement didn't stop there, as they were ecstatic when choosing fonts to create name labels for their lockers. The skills they have gained further practice on when using the device include discussing what they would like to create, voting for designs and themes, and searching for inspiration in books and online. In addition, they have further developed fine-motor skills and increased their knowledge concerning measurements when choosing lengths of paper for cutting.
The learners will also be using the materials when planning and decorating their new classroom and other school spaces for special events this school year. With these materials, students are learning the ins and outs of technology and adding their own flair to their school environment.”

Playing Our Way To Literacy
Funded Oct 5, 2020The students and teaching team members are truly grateful for your donations! As you know, this year has been one with many changes. The transitions have been tough on our learners, who thrive in structured environments. It can be overwhelming at times, but our learners are troopers and haven't let the changes distract them from our classroom goal of learning while having fun.
Thanks to your donations, the students are incredibly excited whenever we have Reading class in person. Each learner has an interactive station that aligns with their reading learning goal and can choose to experiment with other materials they see their classmates using after they are sanitized.
I am pleased to know that there is always a fun and inviting tactile reading activity for our students to look forward to when they return to the building. Thanks to the kindness of donors like you, schools all around our country can raise funds to offer students new materials and experiences. Thank you again for your generosity and be well.”

Funded Dec 3, 2019The new literacy stations have been a hit! My students do not even realize they are doing work as they rotate through the room to complete their learning tasks. Due to the variety of learning tools we have received, there is something for every student that targets their learning goal while piquing their interest. Because they are now playing games instead of completing the usual cut and paste worksheets the stress levels of all the students have decreased considerably. Now everyone is excited to work on their literacy skills.
My new goal is to expand our collection of literacy manipulatives and start incorporating more student choice into lessons. With multiple stations students will be able to identify the day's learning target, and choose what tools they would like to use to work towards meeting their personal learning goals. While playing and comparing their handiwork students have also begun to use more social skills. It has been wonderful watching them experiment with new methods of engaging with their classmates. Thank you for helping me bring our literacy lessons to life!”

Funded Sep 1, 2019Thank you for helping me give my students paper, markers, and laminating sheets as new supplies for the start of the new school year! The supplies have made it possible for me to provide activities that go beyond the usual cutting and pasting. We have already begun creating works of art that are reflective of our learnings across the curriculum. Having hands-on activities has made my students excited for school, and the whole class is looking forward to the rest of the school year and the learning experiences they'll have in it. We are already brainstorming ways to bring more life to our new classroom in a way that will show parents and members of our school community the wonderful things students create every day in our class thanks to your generous donations. Thank you again for providing our students with the tools to drive more opportunities to build together and develop their communication skills.”
