Being able to choose how they learn best is such a great motivator for young students. During small group instruction, my students get to choose what they do! They love the fact that they get to choose how and what they are learning about. Imagine getting to choose how and what they get to learn. When my students are not with me in a small group, they are working independently on reading, writing, or practicing small words. In order to keep my students engaged they need to love what they are doing. They need to be excited about the learning choice that they made. I want my students to be able to have a wide variety of ways to learn in order to reach every learning my my classroom. Being able to use the Boogie Boards and Alphabet Stamps in my classroom is so engaging and fun. My students will be thrilled with the new addition to their writing and reading practice. These items will keep them engaged and wanting to learn with out even realizing they are learning.
