I am a math teacher who hates textbooks! Instead, I have developed most of my own curriculum from scratch, which I believe is much more relatable, engaging and rigorous for my students. Unfortunately, There are over 700 students in my school and only two copiers. That means I often have to wait days or even weeks to get my copies, and the machines break often or run out of ink/paper. I usually have to come into school early or stay late to use the copier, and sometimes I’ve even had to go to Staples to get copies made. Although this isn’t directly related to my students’ needs, it would improve the quality of my teaching life immeasurably!
