Imagine entering school late because you missed the bus or you were up late helping your siblings because your parents were at work. Once you get to school you hear that breakfast has ended and you have to go to class. This is heartbreaking for many of our students who depend on school breakfast to help fight hunger. The nutri grain bars and apple juice that I am requesting will be used to provide these students with something for breakfast. Who can learn on a empty stomach? I know I can't, so that is where these snacks will play a huge role in my students school day. I am also asking for fruit cups and fruit snacks to help support my students when I am giving small group lessons and support to students in crisis. With this project it is my goal to create a space to support all of the needs of my students especially those who are hungry. As a first year Social Worker in a high needs school, I am looking forward to addressing the needs of the students and having a space prepared for them. It is my primary goal to ensure that all of the students at my goal have every opportunity to be successful, confident and have the resources they need to conquer and overcome any obstacle! Thank you in advance for supporting me on this journey of helping all students in need.
