The technology purchased will support my students who do not have access to Chromebooks in the classroom daily either due to forgetting them at home or families not wanting the additional burden of being responsible for school technology. My classroom library will benefit from having diverse readers to support the standard RL3.2 because all of my current classroom students are testing below grade level and having readers that are at their level will help build them up to third-grade reading material. It is imperative to their overall academic growth. We need access to diverse materials at their grade level, technology, and snacks to address the variety of needs in low-income families that I serve. The standards that support this impact in my classroom are 3.OA. A1, 3.NBT.1, and 3.NBT.2. This will positively impact my classroom behaviors, students' home lives, and academic success in the classroom and give my students a place where they belong and feel seen. The standards that my students will benefit from the material donated are RL3.1, RI.3.2, and RL.3.3: Students will be provided books at their reading level but are able to apply grade-level reading skills to boost their reading fluency and comprehension.
