Technology has vastly changes how students learn, in particular, it has made it more easy for students with learning disabilities to have an equal access to the curriculum. Today's technology helps students with learning disabilities understand more, express more, and be more engaged. Unfortunately, our school has limited access to technology and my special ed kiddos are dealing with the consequences. With the readily available use of some chromebooks, my students will be able to access the curriculum and have more learning opportunities in our study skills class. My students will be able to have more time to complete assignments, engage in learning with useful programs such as Moby Max, have access to research and information, practice skills with Khan Academy and IXL, and so much more. But first and foremost, I must give them the technology to be able to access such amazing resources.
