  • Percussion Equipment

    Our last few performances were a blast!

    The percussion students greatly appreciate the new percussion equipment. My head percussionist was especially excited to use the crash cymbals for all of our concerts. All of my percussion students were very happy to use brand-new mallets for the xylophone and bass drum. I plan to continue using these percussion supplies for our future performances and events.

    Our last few performances were a blast!

    The keyboard students greatly appreciate the new PA sound system, as it's portable and easy to set up. The PA system was especially helpful for our last concert in September as a backup speaker. The Bluetooth feature is especially helpful for playing quick music examples from my computer or playing the metronome remotely from the back of the room. I plan to continue using these speakers for our future performances and events.

  • New Percussion Instruments Band Phase One

    Thank you so much for supporting this project!

    The students were amazed to see the new percussion instruments and materials. Once the xylophone mallets were delivered to the band room, they were immediately used by the students as our only old pair of soft mallets fell apart. My sixth grade students were also amazed by the Gong Sheet and Crash Cymbals when we discussed different types of instruments in the percussion unit.

    Next semester, I plan to continue using these materials for demonstration, teaching, and student performance. We will be fully utilizing the Gong Sheet and Crash Cymbals in upcoming musical works the my eighth grade students are going to be starting soon.
